American Arts and Crafts was a showcase for significant examples of late 19th and early 20th century furniture, ceramics, and metalworking that exemplify the Arts and Crafts doctrine of functional design, natural materials, and sound handcrafted construction.

This exhibition was held in the then-named Prints and Drawings Corridor, and included works by Pablo Picasso from the museum’s collection.

Fairfield Porter: An American Painter was organized by the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, New York, and featured over 50 major oil paintings of landscapes, portraits, and interiors — revealing Fairfield Porter as an exceptional American artist.

This unique collection of photographs, owned by the Saint Louis Art Museum, chronicled the work of Moneta Sleet, Jr. Sleet was the staff photographer of Ebony magazine from 1955 until 1996.  

This exhibition highlighted the Albright-Knox’s rich holdings of abstract painting by concentrating on the development of abstraction in the latter half of the 20th century.
