In this hands-on drop-in workshop inspired by Steina’s groundbreaking video work, staff from Squeaky Wheel Film and Media Art Center will facilitate creative play using modern digital video processing apps. 

Inspired by the Hi-Vis exhibition, Lo-Vis is an immersive, hands-on, Drop-In Artmaking series in collaboration with the Burchfield Penney Art Center and the AKG.

Drawn predominantly from the Buffalo AKG's collection, with key loans from the artist and a private collection, each of the photographs in Adam Fuss: A Visual Resonance is a musing on the energy that exists between life and death. Together, they trace the development of Fuss's My Ghost series, which he began in the early 1990s and continues to the present in his most recent work, titled Theia. 

Steina: Playback presents the first solo exhibition in over a decade of Steina, the pathbreaking media artist whose work traverses video, performance, and installation. 

Hi-Vis is an invitational survey exhibition that celebrates the artists who have worked with the Buffalo AKG’s Public Art Initiative in its first ten years of existence. While you may recognize the works of these artists found throughout the region, you might not know the depth, the breadth, and the variety of art practices they embrace. Hi-Vis allows us to look closely and engage deeply with the practices behind the public art.
