Buffalo AKG members, through their support and engagement, help to shape the museum and create meaningful experiences with art for everyone. Members, in turn, experience the AKG in the best way possible and will enjoy expanded access across the new campus upon opening May 25, 2023!

Every Buffalo AKG membership includes:

  • Free admission to the museum’s collection* and special exhibitions  
  • Invitations to exclusive members’ previews and events 
  • Early access to advance timed admission reservations while available* 
  • A one-time use admission guest pass to share (number of passes increases by level)*
  • Invitations and discounted admission to After Hours, a special series of conversations designed to take you behind-the-scenes at the museum
  • Discounted admission to select art classes* 
  • Subscriptions to the Buffalo AKG’s bi-monthly members’ calendar and monthly email newsletter 
  • Member parking rate, subject to availability*  
  • 10% discount in the museum shop and on dining at the museum (some exclusions may apply)* 
  • A Buffalo AKG Art Museum window decal 
  • A discounted one-year subscription to Buffalo Spree magazine  
  • A 10% discount at select participating local businesses (some restrictions may apply) 
  • Free admission to more than thirty museums across New York State through the Empire State Museums Reciprocal Program (some restrictions may apply) 
  • $5 discount off of the Art of Jazz series

Special Community Promotions for AKG Members 

  • Buffalo AKG members are invited to visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Graycliff and the collaborative exhibition Sarah Braman: Finding Room through March 19, 2023, during regular operating hours. Reservations must be made before visiting Graycliff's website  or calling 716.947.9217. Ongoing reciprocal benefits extended to Buffalo AKG members include free Standard, Open House, and Art Tours, as well as discounted Extended Tours and events. Your Buffalo AKG membership card must be presented on arrival of your first visit.

Donor Circles

The Donor Circles are a social and cultural gateway to the Buffalo AKG, connecting your philanthropic support with unique experiences. Whether you are a long-time art lover or new to the art world, a Donor Circles membership will deepen your relationship with the Buffalo AKG and Buffalo’s arts community.

Every Donor Circles membership includes:

  • Core member benefits and discounts (see above) for two adults (with an option to add a third adult) and any children under 18 in the household 
  • Quarterly updates from curatorial staff on art shows in New York City 
  • Invitations to biannual private curator tours of special exhibitions 
  • One complimentary Dual membership (for Clyfford Still Circle Members) or  Associate membership  (for Andy Warhol Circle Members and above) to share 
  • Recognition in the museum’s  Annual Report 
  • Reciprocal admission to the permanent collections of more than 1,200 museums throughout the United States, Canada, and more
