Our Collection

Our 150-year tradition of collecting the art of our time has given rise to an extraordinary collection. We look forward to welcoming you to a new, expanded collection installation when we reopen as the Buffalo AKG Art Museum.

Our Campus

Our Elmwood Avenue campus, currently closed as we build the future Buffalo AKG Art Museum, sits at the edge of Frederick Law Olmsted’s Delaware Park. It resides on the traditional land of the Seneca (Onödowá’ga), part of the Six Nations Confederacy (Hodinöhsö:ni’).

Our History

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum (formerly the Albright-Knox Art Gallery) is one of the oldest museums dedicated to the art of our time, and the sixth oldest public art institution in the United States.
