Buffalo, NY – Today the Albright-Knox has announced upcoming events with our Art Truck, a mobile center for hands-on artmaking that brings art activities, classes, and workshops for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of ability into the communities of Western New York.

Today the Albright-Knox, in conjunction with the County of Erie, announced the return of Erie County Free Week. The week of free admission, programs, and events is a popular way for the museum to express its gratitude to all Erie County residents, the County Executive, and County Legislators for their generous support of museum operations.

The Albright-Knox's Public Art Initiative has completed installation of Works, from Home, the sixteen-artist collaborative mural responding to the conditions of the pandemic, at 43 West Chippewa Street.

Today the Albright-Knox, in conjunction with the Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation, announced the creation of a new mural at Ciminelli’s 201 Ellicott Street project.

Beginning in July of 2021, six artists will create new murals as part of Cobblestone Commons, completing a destination-making public art project that will further enhance downtown, especially the neighboring Cobblestone businesses and the site of the annual Cobblestone Live festival.

The Albright-Knox is proud to present The Presence of Absence, the 2021 AK Teens: Future Curators exhibition, on view at the Buffalo Center for Arts & Technology, Western New York Book Arts Center, and online.

Today the Albright-Knox announced that it has received a $300,000 grant from the Henry Luce Foundation to support the upcoming traveling exhibition that will celebrate the life and work of Marisol.

On Friday, February 12, Albright-Knox Northland will open Comunidades Visibles: The Materiality of Migration. The exhibition will remain on view through Sunday, May 16, 2021.

Today the Albright-Knox announced the appointment of Julia M. Vázquez for a two-year curatorial fellowship. Her primary responsibility will be to assist with a major exhibition and larger research initiative dedicated to the work of Marisol.

Recently the Albright-Knox announced a new exhibition, Comunidades Visibles: The Materiality of Migration, at Albright-Knox Northland. The exhibition will open February 12, 2021, and will remain on view through May 16, 2021.

On Saturday, September 26, Albright-Knox Northland will open a new exhibition titled Seven Contemplations, by Caledonia Curry (American, born 1977), who works under the name Swoon.

Today the Albright-Knox’s Public Art Initiative announced an artist residency in Springville, New York, for Bryan Metzdorf (American, born 1982) at the Springville Center for the Arts.
