Today the Albright-Knox Art Gallery announced that the exhibition Hervé Tullet: Shape and Color, which was scheduled to open at Albright-Knox Northland on May 15, will be postponed until the summer of 2021.

In order to support efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the museum’s visitors, staff, and volunteers, Albright-Knox Northland is temporarily closed. All scheduled public programs and events are temporarily postponed.

The Albright-Knox’s Public Art Initiative has partnered with Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House to present an exciting installation featuring artist Jun Kaneko's monumental ceramic sculptures from May 22, 2020, through October 3, 2021.

The exhibition Hervé Tullet: Shape and Color—the artist, performer, and beloved children’s book author's largest installation to date—will open at Albright-Knox Northland on Friday, May 15.

Today, leaders at the Albright-Knox, along with Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul and other elected officials, broke ground on the museum’s historic AK360 Campus Development and Expansion Project.

Albright-Knox Northland will open January 17, 2020, with an exhibition featuring artists Heather Hart, Edra Soto, and Rodney Taylor. Collectively, their work explores how people build connections to others both inside and outside the walls of those structures we call home.

Today, with the help of students from North Tonawanda Intermediate School, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery launched the museum’s Art Truck, a mobile center for hands-on creativity that will bring art classes and workshops for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of ability to communities throughout Western New York. 

Today the Albright-Knox announced that Shark Girl, the wildly popular public sculpture from the museum’s Public Art Initiative, will be temporarily removed from her location at Canalside Buffalo during the second week of October for some well-deserved pampering in the form of artwork conservation.
