Today the Buffalo AKG Art Museum announced Dine In, an upcoming exhibition that will open in the museum’s free M&T Bank Gallery on Friday, November 21, and will remain on view through May 10, 2026. Composed entirely of works from the AKG’s collection and organized around three main themes—The Product, The Kitchen, and The Meal—Dine In invites visitors to explore the ways that we experience food, cooking, and eating. 

The Art of Jazz series returns to the Buffalo AKG Art Museum in 2026 and promises to be an inspiring and electrifying season. Producer and curator Walter Kemp 3 has assembled a collection of performances that capture the pulse of contemporary jazz today. 

The Buffalo AKG announced that the museum’s Public Art Initiative recently completed multiple murals at Kissing Bridge All Seasons Resort by artist Mark Paul Deren, known as MADSTEEZ.

Today the Buffalo AKG Art Museum’s Public Art Initiative unveiled a new mural, titled Community Cloth: Stories in Thread, at Stitch Buffalo, located at 284 Plymouth Avenue. Today the Buffalo AKG announced that the museum’s Public Art Initiative will begin a new mural on Hertel Avenue by artist Ola Volo, who will be producing the most immersive mural that the AKG’s Public Art Initiative has ever commissioned.

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum announced Adam Fuss: Visual Resonance, the artist’s first museum show in more than ten years. The exhibition will open on Friday, April 25, and will remain on view in the museum’s Hemicycle Gallery through Monday, September 29.

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum recently opened Hi-Vis, an exhibition that celebrates many of the artists who have worked with the Buffalo AKG’s Public Art Initiative in its first ten years. Artists on view include Julia Bottoms, FUTURA 2000, Maya Hayuk, Logan Hicks, Jun Kaneko, Monet Kifner, Shantell Martin, Louise Jones, Felipe Pantone, Pat Perry, and Edreys Wajed.
