NEW! Tour & Art Activity

Add artmaking to your tour experience and take home a beautiful reminder of your visit to the museum! Following a 60-minute guided tour, you’ll spend 45 minutes in a studio exploring the art of printmaking with guidance from a museum art instructor. Using an accessible and intuitive process, make your own designs based on special exhibitions, the permanent collection, or personal experience.

This option is offered on the following Thursdays with tours starting promptly at 10 am: October 24, November 7, November 21, December 5, and December 19. Adults are $45 and Youth are $25. Studio capacity is limited to 20 participants.

Choose Your Tour

Each guided tour is a conversation, rather than a lecture, and is led by enthusiastic museum docents who are educated on the extraordinary permanent collections and special exhibitions. Expect to encounter surprising new connections between you and the art and artists of our time.

Collection Highlights

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum has nearly 8,000 objects in its collection. Tour a selection of highlights and learn about the museum's 150-year tradition of collecting, conserving, and exhibiting the art of its time.

This tour is sixty minutes and focuses on works from the mid-eighteenth century to movements found in the mid-twentieth century located in the Wilmers Building galleries.
