To ensure the safety of the artworks and people in the museum space, we ask you to observe the following: 

• Please look, discuss, and enjoy the art from a safe distance, refraining from touching unless invited to do so. 
• Please do not lean on the walls. 
• No running or pushing; please walk slowly and carefully. 
• Be respectful to other visitors and guided tours by speaking quietly. 
• When sketching or taking notes, please use pencil. We can provide them if needed.  
• Capture the moment! Photography without flash for personal use is encouraged unless otherwise noted. 
• Before entering spaces with art, please leave all purses, backpacks, and bags larger than 15" in any dimension on your bus, in your vehicle, or in our complimentary storage space. 
• In addition to benches and chairs, look for portable gallery stools in the Wilmers and Gundlach buildings. Free wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers are also available in the coatroom areas of the Knox and Gundlach buildings. 
• Please consume food and drink in areas outside the galleries where it is safe to do so, such as the Sculpture Bar, Cornelia, or Town Square. 

Chaperones can enhance the success of a group tour and the amount of learning that can take place by showing active interest in the works of art while supervising youth or student behavior. Therefore, we ask chaperones to observe the following guidelines: 

• Please stay with your assigned group at all times, including during and after the tour.  
• Other than for photography, the use of your cell phone is not permitted during tours. 
• Each chaperone is responsible for reviewing the museum guidelines above, communicating the rules to their group, and enforcing the rules at all times while in the museum. If student behavior is found to be disruptive, the museum reserves the right to ask the group to sit out the rest of the tour. 

• Please arrive to the Buffalo AKG ten to fifteen minutes before your scheduled tour time.
• If you are arriving via car, parking is available in our campus lot or along the East side of the museum on Lincoln Parkway. Once parked, please enter through our West or East side entrances of the Knox building (see map below).  
• If you are arriving via bus, please pull up to the West side entrance of the Knox building off Elmwood Avenue, and a staff member will meet you outside. Parking is available along the East side of the museum on Lincoln Pkwy (see map below).  
• Please leave all backpacks and purses measuring larger than 11 x 15 x 5 inches in size in your vehicle. We offer limited storage space for personal belongings.
• The group admission is due in one payment—by cash, check, or credit card—upon arrival. The museum does not accept purchase orders.

Please make every effort to arrive ten to fifteen minutes before your scheduled tour time. If you are going to be late, please call us at 716 270 8336 as soon as possible. The Buffalo AKG is unable to extend tour times to accommodate late arrivals; your tour will end at the scheduled end time. If your group arrives more than twenty minutes past your scheduled start time, you cannot be guaranteed a guided tour.

If you need to cancel your tour due to extreme weather conditions or an emergency, please make every attempt to call 716 270 8336 before 9 am on your scheduled tour date. There is no penalty if your tour is canceled due to extreme weather conditions. 
 

Cornelia offers an abbreviated menu for large groups of up to 30 people, as well as boxed lunch and buffet/catering options.
