The Freedom Wall Lesson Plans

During the summer of 2018, 16 local K–12 educators worked with the museum’s Education and Community Engagement Department to develop curricula around The Freedom Wall to be shared with teachers nationally.

The goal of this program was to create lesson plans that contained a visual art component and a cross-curricula connection in response to The Freedom Wall. The group of educators included teachers for visual art, social studies, and English as a New Language, as well as library media specialists and general classroom educators.
