Adults of all levels of experience are invited to sign up for art classes at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum. Registration is required. All supplies are provided. Classes with low enrollment may be canceled.

Tipsy Crafts
Ages 21+
Fridays, September 13, 27; October 25; November 22; December 13
$55 per class (Buffalo AKG members save 15%)
Treat yourself! Join us for fun make-and-take projects. Meet new crafters or sign up with a friend. Registration price includes one alcoholic beverage from Cornelia to enjoy during the class; nonalcoholic options are available.
September 13 and 27: Cyanotypes—Make a unique print using light and found objects!
October 25: Window Painting—Create an ornamental sun catcher with glass paint and Plexi.
November 22: Mini-Hoop Embroidery—Explore the art of needlepoint and stitch while you sip.
December 13: Holiday Ornaments—Decorate in style with your own homemade holiday bling.
Figure Drawing Workshops
Ages 21+
Thursdays, September 12, 19, 26, from 6–8 pm (studio opens at 5:30 pm)
$40 per class (Buffalo AKG members save 15%)
Informal life drawing sessions with a live nude model. Different gestures and poses offer a focused environment for studying the human form. Suitable for people with some prior experience. All supplies included. Sign up for an individual class or sign up for all three!
Landscapes with Watercolor
Three-Week Series, Ages 16+
Thursdays, October 10, 17, 24, from 6–8 pm
$150 (Buffalo AKG Members save 15%)
Geared for beginners. Try your hand at watercolor: learn about color theory and how to paint using a layering technique. Take inspiration from the fall foliage and nature works in the museum’s collection. No experience necessary.

Live Figure Painting
Three-Week Series, Ages 21+
Thursdays, November 7, 14, 21 from 6–8 pm (studio opens at 5:30 pm)
$150 (Members save 15%)
Geared for people with some prior experience. Create a study of the figure in oil paint working with a live model. Full instruction included.
Intro to Stitching
Two-Week Series, Ages 16+
Sundays, November 10, 17, from 1:30–4 pm
$100 (Buffalo AKG members save 15%)
Geared for beginners. Learn the basics of stitching, create your design on a tote bag, and take inspiration from a new exhibition of works in the collection made with fiber.
