Convergence Council

The Convergence Council, founded in 2016 and currently co-led by Caroline Pierce and Jared Threat, is a group of Buffalo AKG Art Museum leadership members bound by a shared love of art and creativity.

Council members serve as ambassadors to connect others with museum programming and resources, and act as advocates and fundraisers to further promote the museum’s mission. The Council operates from the belief that the museum is instrumental in the long-term vitality of our city and is dedicated to the present and future success of the Buffalo AKG.

The Council produces an exciting schedule of events (virtually and in-person) to draw supporters to the museum, including behind-the-scenes tours, curatorial walk-throughs, artist meetings and interviews, and invitations to openings at the museum. Bi-annual ticketed Convergence Series events and unique nights out at the museum are available as a benefit of memberships at the Contemporary level and up.

Membership in the Convergence Council is by invitation only. For more information, contact Manager of Donor Relations Kate Brown at kbrown@buffaloakg.org
