Through a variety of mediums, Beau Stanton (he/him) creates large scale murals, mosaics, stained glass, and multimedia animations. Heavily informed by historic ornamentation, mythology, and the classics, Stanton’s work seeks to draw parallels between past narratives and contemporary human issues, such as climate change, environmental conservation, and post-industrialization. The imagery and themes are always site specific and closely tailored to the artwork’s locale, involving research and scouting of the surrounding area with the goal of creating work that directly responds to its environment.
Creating large scale public artwork for the past ten years, Stanton has completed murals and art installations across the globe in cities that include Amman, Berlin, Detroit, Dubai, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York, Rome, and Tokyo. Notable clients include the Embassy of the United States of America to Italy, Juxtapoz Magazine, Times Square Arts, Fiat Automobiles, VH1, the City of Jersey City, New Jersey, McCann Torre Lazur, The Explorers Club, GILT, Kiehl’s, Converse, the City of Eugene, Oregon, and The Atlantic magazine.
