Albright-Knox Members are invited to join us for a Members' Opening for Humble and Human: An Exhibition in Honor of Ralph C. Wilson, Jr.: Treasures from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Detroit Institute of Arts. Featuring more than forty paintings and sculptures from the collections of the Albright-Knox and the Detroit Institute of Arts by artists including Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, Camille Pissarro, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Humble and Human has been organized in recognition of Mr. Wilson’s enduring compassion and advocacy for the citizens of Western New York and Southeast Michigan—regions he called home.

The response period is now closed. Due to the popularity of this event, we anticipate capacity attendance. Please plan accordingly, as parking will be at a premium.

A free public opening will follow from 7 to 9 pm, with a free talk—The Art of the Game: A Conversation with Mary Wilson, Thurman Thomas, Janne Sirén, and Holly E. Hughes—at 7:15 pm. Seating in the Auditorium will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
