Giverny Now: Photographs by Elizabeth Murray provided an excellent supplement to Monet at Giverny: Masterpieces from the Musée Marmottan. On view concurrently with Monet, the selection of exquisite photographs provided a special insight into Monet's gardens, depicting the grounds in different seasons and times of day. Murray worked in the gardens for nine months, and her experience lends an intimacy to her breathtaking color photographs.

A lecture entitled “Monet’s Passion: Ideas, Inspiration and Insights from the Painter’s Gardens” was given on June 16 by Elizabeth Murray. Her lecture described her work as volunteer restoration gardener in Monet’s famous Giverny gardens and concluded with a book sighing of her bestseller of the same name.

This exhibition was organized by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.
