Nery Gabriel Lemus
Multidisciplinary artist Nery Gabriel Lemus (b. 1977) was born and raised in Los Angeles. His work explores a range of subjects, including division, stereotypes, immigration, and societal problems that can contribute to the breakdown of families, such as poverty, abuse, and neglect. He lives and works in Pasadena. His work has been featured at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the California African American Museum, Los Angeles; the Vincent Price Art Museum, Monterey Park, and many other venues. He is a recipient of the California Community Foundation Fellowship, the COLA Fellowship Grant from the Department of Cultural Affairs, Los Angeles, and the Rema Hort Mann Foundation Fellowship Award.
