Manuel López was born in 1983 in Los Angeles, where he lives and works. His precisely rendered compositions, both paintings and drawings, are informed by his immediate surroundings—serene streetscapes, interior views of domestic clutter, still lifes composed of books, records, houseplants, and other objects found around the house. López has exhibited in national and international venues, including Charlie James Gallery, Los Angeles; the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento; the Atkinson Gallery at Santa Barbara City College; and BAIK ART, Seoul, among other venues.

Sus composiciones, ejecutadas con precisión tanto en pinturas como en dibujos, están influidas por su entorno inmediato: apacibles paisajes urbanos, desorden doméstico y bodegones con libros, discos, plantas y objetos caseros.
