Francisco Palomares

Lives and works in Los Angeles

Francisco Palomares (b. 1990) is a first-generation Mexican American artist. His deep appreciation for art was sparked by observing the vibrant murals created by Chicano artists in his East L.A. neighborhood, where he lives. Through his work, he reimagines the streets of Los Angeles, inviting viewers to join him on a narrative journey. Palomares’s artwork has been showcased in various gallery and museum exhibitions, including at The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture, Riverside, California; Mingei International Museum, San Diego; and the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, among others. He was selected for the L.A. Lakers’ In the Paint competition. His artwork has been featured on platforms such as Telemundo, Spectrum News, and The Los Angeles Times.

Francisco Palomares nació en 1990 y es parte de la primera generación de una familia mexicana en Estados Unidos. Su profundo aprecio por el arte surgió al observar los coloridos murales creados por artistas chicanos en su barrio, en el este de Los Ángeles, donde todavía vive. Con su trabajo reinventa las calles de la ciudad e invita a los espec-tadores a unirse a él en un viaje narrativo. Las obras de Palomares se han exhibido en diversas galerías y museos, como The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture, en Riverside, California; el Mingei International Museum, San Diego, y el Consulado General de México en Los Ángeles. Fue seleccionado para participar en el concurso L.A. Lakers’ In the Paint. Su obra ha aparecido en medios de comunicación como Telemundo, Spectrum News y The Los Angeles Times.
