Join us for an evening of discussion, curriculum connections, and artmaking inspired by the exhibition Humble and Human: An Exhibition in Honor of Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Explore Impressionist and post-Impressionist treasures from the collections of the Albright-Knox and the Detroit Institute of the Arts. Both cities were important to Ralph C. Wilson, Jr., a philanthropist, business leader, and advocate for the citizens of Western New York and Southeast Michigan—regions he called home.
Tour this exhibition with School and Docent Programs Coordinator Lindsay Kranz to discover how to use these artworks as a catalyst for student-centered learning. After exploring connections to core subject areas and the new Standards for the Arts, the workshop will conclude with hands-on art activities to support lesson plan development inspired by various works in the exhibition.
