On Friday, June 17, 2016, the Albright-Knox celebrated our massive summer celebration, EMERGE, in style. Dressed in their backyard best, guests enjoyed a variety of musical acts, including jazz and funk by the Intrepid Travelers, spins and sounds by DJ Milk, and theatrical marching band Mucca Pazza who enthusiastically emerged from the crowd.

Inspired by the fabric of Amanda Browder’s Spectral Locus, Rich’s Catering & Special Events presented an array of sophisticated and colorful comfort foods that paired with seasonal Magic Hat beers and a Sweet 716 peach cocktail. As the night progressed, three beautifully-designed ice sculptures by Ice is Nice surfaced outdoors while guests inside discovered Shade: Clyfford Still / Mark Bradford and Defining Sculpture. Swag bags of Modern Luxuri treasures were distributed at the end of the evening.
