This third event in our new monthly series for educators will focus on artist Mickalene Thomas, who is best known for her elaborate painterly practice involving rhinestones and a colorful palette. Inspired by Thomas's Interior: Monet’s Blue Foyer, 2012, in the the Albright-Knox’s collection, we’ll explore how the artist's concepts of beauty, femininity, gender, and race can inspire lesson plan development and artmaking.
