Los Artistas del Barrio Buffalo’s mission is to function as an arts collective that highlights the talents and creativity of Latino/a/x and Hispanic artists of every discipline in our community.

Los Artistas del Barrio Buffalo (LADB) was established in 2016 by four Puerto Rican artists residing in Buffalo, NY, as a response to the lack of opportunities to exhibit artwork and dismal representation offered to Latino/a/x artists. LADB co-founders, Dr. Michele Agosto (photographer and mixed-media artist), Aileen Gonzalez Marti (fashion designer, painter, and jewelry designer), Vincent Alejandro (graffiti/street artist and muralist), and William Rodriguez (comic book artist and illustrator) decided to create a safe and encouraging space that was accessible to local Latino/a/x artists. Los Artistas del Barrio Buffalo will exhibit, promote, and support Latino/a/x and Hispanic artists of all genres located in and connected to Buffalo and Western New York.
