Elmwood Avenue Cultural Corridor

The Albright-Knox's Elmwood Avenue campus is located in the heart of Buffalo’s cultural district, also known as the Elmwood Avenue Cultural Corridor.

To the north, across the Scajaquada Expressway, sits the Buffalo History Museum. To the east is Delaware Park, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, managed by the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, and home to Shakespeare in Delaware Park. South down Elmwood Avenue is the Elmwood Village, filled with shops, restaurants, cafes, green space, a weekly Farmer’s Market, and more. Across Elmwood Avenue to the west are Buffalo State and its Burchfield Penney Art Center, with the Richardson Olmsted Campus just behind. Another key community partner is Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, who is working to stabilize the Scajaquada Creek and Hoyt Lake, both in Delaware Park on the museum’s east side.
