Mitchell F. Chan

Canadian, born 1982

Mitchell F Chan is best-known for creating one of the earliest non-fungible token artworks, 2017's Digital Zones of Immaterial Pictorial Sensibility. His diverse body of work is performed in both physical and digital public spaces, and includes code-based works such as his 2021 Art Blocks project LeWitt Generator Generator and large-scale public projects such as 2022's Monument to United Nations Peacekeeping Veterans. His work has been covered and discussed in numerous media outlets including Artforum, Kunstforum, Art In America, VICE, Canadian Art, Slate, the Toronto Star, and Gizmodo.
