Inspired by Justin Favela’s and Francisco Palomar’s works in Let Us Gather in a Flourishing Way that prominently feature piñatas, people will contribute to collaborative piñatas. Join the Buffalo AKG and guest art instructor Samantha Serrano for a free Drop-In Artmaking session. The works will be used at the August 21 celebration, “Family Fiesta,” with Justin Favela.
About Family Fiesta
Justin Favela and his family present a free, all-ages fiesta! As a closing celebration for Let Us Gather In A Flourishing Way and inspired by family gatherings from his youth, Justin Favela brings the family fiesta—a lively cookout filled with food, music, art, and fun—to Buffalo in a joyful community event from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, August 21, 2026 at the Buffalo AKG.

Studio A is located on the lower level of the Knox Building. Take the Accessibility Pathway under the Auditorium and turn left. The closest restrooms are on the first floor of the Knox Building in the same hallway as the Moog Inc. Visitor Services Desk.
