About Malik Rainey

Malik Rainey is a documentarian & portrait photographer based in Buffalo, New York, who specializes in editorial and documentary photography. He grew up in a family surrounded by music and dreamed of being a music producer before a chance encounter with a camera at age 15 led him on his current path. He creates images in relation to the black experience, which covers things such as black joy, resilience, community, and much more.
