Virtual Event

This presentation will focus on the artist Bunnie Reiss, who is known for her signature interweaving of dreamlike imagery and mythological themes with delicate geometric tracery. Focusing on her mural, Magic Buffalo, 2017, commissioned by the Public Art Initiative, we’ll explore how Reiss's natural way of storytelling and her love of nature can inspire lesson plan development and artmaking.

About the Series

In these free monthly presentations just for educators, we will explore contemporary artists from the Albright-Knox’s collection and public art projects for curriculum inspiration. Join School and Docent Programs Coordinator Lindsay Kranz for discussions on how contemporary artists are exploring what it means to be a citizen in the 21st century and how those themes might engage students in virtual and in-person learning. View All Series Dates
