  • Untitled (intern "Shape 7") (KG/O 2010_8031L), 2010

    Katharina Grosse

This abstract sculpture appears overall like an oversized piece of paper with a V-shaped divot cut out of the right side and curling edges. It balances on the floor near its center. The underside of the plastic form is white, but bright patches of spray-painted yellow, blue, green, purple, orange, black, gray, and pink cover the top, overlapping and dripping onto one another.
  • Peaceable Kingdom, ca. 1848

    Edward Hicks

    Peaceable Kingdom
  • Synecdoche, 2008

    Byron Kim

Thirty-six, portrait-oriented rectangles in monochromatic shades ranging from cool peach to warm caramel to dark brown are arranged randomly in a in a six-by-six grid.
  • La Toilette, 1906

    Pablo Picasso

    La toilette
  • Karma, 2010

    Do Ho Suh

Against the white marbled columned exterior of the museum, a life-size muscular male nude, his arms hanging down on either side of his body, stands upright on a metal base. Sitting on his shoulders are a series of identical male nudes squatting one on top of the another, each one smaller than the one below. Each figure holds his hands over the eyes of the figure beneath him.
  • Year of Meteors, 1961

    Robert Indiana

At the center of the painting is a blue, eight-pointed star against a green background within two concentric circles of stenciled, all-capitalized text on white. The circle within the smaller of these rings is green, and the background visible outside the larger of these rings is blue. The text in the smaller of these rings is blue and the text in the larger of these rings is green.
  • Ocean Park No. 66, 1973

    Richard Diebenkorn

    Ocean Park No. 66
  • Portrait of Jacques-François Desmaisons, 1782

    Jacques-Louis David

    Portrait of Jacques-François Desmaisons
  • Born, 2002

    Kiki Smith

A life-sized nude female figure emerges head-first from the rear of a standing deer. Only her feet remain inside the animal, and the rest of her body is angled toward the floor, with her left shoulder making contact. She cranes her neck slightly to gaze back toward the deer, who has large ears and small antler nubs. The bronze surface of the sculpture is smooth and has a dark uniform patina, making it appear black.
