Calloused (2012 Future Curators Exhibition)
Sunday, May 13, 2012–Sunday, June 17, 2012
Clifton Hall Link Galleries
We are all born with a thin skin—one of innocence. Through time and experience, a layer of armor forms to protect us. This armor grows as we experience internal and external conflicts, which result from the differences between who we are inside and how we portray ourselves in order to satisfy society’s expectations.
This exhibition is composed of pieces that show both vulnerability and the internal strength we acquire through time, revealing what’s beneath our shells and paralleling our maturation with our original innocence.
This exhibition is organized by the 2012 Future Curators.
