Felipe Baeza

Lives and works in Brooklyn, New York

Felipe Baeza was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, in 1987 and lives and works in Brooklyn. He combines printmaking, collage, embroidery, and glass sculptures to create figures that find new ways of existing in the world. Baeza has had solo exhibitions at the Public Art Fund (2023) and Fortnight Institute (2022), both in New York, and his work was included in the 15th Bienal FEMSA, Museo de Arte e Historia de Guanajuato, León (2024), as well as the 59th Venice Biennale (2022), among others. He is the recipient of the Latinx Artist Fellowship by the U.S. Latinx Art Forum, the Joan Mitchell Painters and Sculptors Grant, and the NXTHVN Studio Fellowship. His works are held in many public museum collections.

Felipe Baeza nació en Guanajuato, México, en 1987, y vive y trabaja en Brooklyn. Combina el grabado, el collage, el bordado y las esculturas en vidrio para crear figuras que encuentran maneras novedosas de existir en el mundo.
