On the occasion of the opening of the special exhibition Rosalyn Drexler: Who Does She Think She Is?, please join us for a talk by Senior Curator Cathleen Chaffee about the artist and the exhibition. A panel discussion will follow with Chaffee, who organized the exhibition at the Albright-Knox; Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University Assistant Curator Caitlin Julia Rubin, who co-organized the exhibition at the Rose; and Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum Associate Curator Allison Unruh, Ph.D., who will organize the exhibition at the Kemper. 

This historic and long-overdue monographic exhibition celebrates Rosalyn Drexler’s multidisciplinary artistic practice and acknowledges her important contribution to Pop art. Drexler’s early sculptures, paintings, and collages are presented alongside examples from her award-winning plays and novels. These are accompanied by documentation of her personal life and wrestling and theatrical careers, emphasizing every part of her multifaceted practice.

The talk with be preceded by a Members' Opening of Rosalyn Drexler: Who Does She Think She Is? from 5 to 7 pm, and will take place during a free public exhibition opening from 7 to 9 pm.
