Live Painting with Julia Bottoms

Thursday, May 9, 2024

4 pm - 7 pm EDT

Wilson Town Square, Knox Building

Julia Bottoms will share a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her studio practice as she live-paints a series of illustrations depicting Black historic figures. At the conclusion of this ongoing series, the illustrations will later be assembled into a book, which will be distributed for free to schools throughout Buffalo to promote year-round Black history education. QR codes will be provided on signage near the artist that will link visitors to the story behind the figure in the illustration.
