Art Alive 2013

Saturday, June 1, 2013

12 pm - 2 pm EDT

Students from Stanley G. Falk School won the judges' award for Best Tableau from the Albright-Knox’s Collection for re-creating Hans Namuth’s Jackson Pollock painting One and Lee Krasner, 1950 (Collection Albright-Knox Art Gallery). Photograph by Tom Loonan.

On Saturday, June 1, 2013, students, teachers, friends, and even some Albright-Knox staff members created living representations of works of art from the museum's collection and beyond for the 17th annual Art Alive living art contest. Nearly 2,000 spectactors turned out in the beautiful weather to enjoy the tableaux and vote for their favorites in the People's Choice Awards.
