AKGather: The 163rd Annual Meeting of The Buffalo Fine Arts Academy

The Annual Meeting is a special opportunity for members to share in celebrating the accomplishments of the past year as a museum community, elect the Board of Directors, and to hear and see a preview of the year ahead.  

The evening will feature guest speaker Michelle Young, author of The Art Spy: The Extraordinary Untold Story of WWII Resistance Hero Rose Valland, which tells the story of an unlikely heroine who risked her life in the service of art and saved some of the world’s most treasured masterworks.

• 5:30 pm—Doors open for in-person voting
• 6 pm—Meeting and guest speaker Michelle Young
• Reception to follow 

The meeting will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those unable to attend in person.

The Stanford and Judith Lipsey Auditorium is located on the second floor of the Knox Building and can be accessed by the elevator across from the Family Room. There is accessible seating along both sides of the Auditorium, as well as in the two back corners. Assistive Listening Devices and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing are available upon request. To schedule an ASL interpreter for an event, please submit a request at least two weeks in advance. The closest restrooms are on the first floor of the Knox Building in the same hallway as the Moog Inc. Visitor Services Desk.
