This book was published on the occasion of the exhibition Hamish Fulton: Selected Walks 1969–1989, on view at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery from January 20 to March 11, 1990. It was conceived, from cover to cover, by the artist himself. It includes essays by Albright-Knox Chief Curator Michael Auping and David Reason, Professor of Law and Philosophy at the University of Kent, as well as photographs revealing the artist’s poetic nature that were not a part of the exhibition.
