Born in 1988 in Ventura, California, José Delgado Zúñiga lives and works in New York and Miami. Zúñiga’s accumulative, fractured, connected, and stacked compositions explore the way the present moment results from whole histories of relationships. His first solo exhibition was held in 2019 at CENTRAL FINE, Miami Beach. He has exhibited at Yale Divinity School of Sacred Music, New Haven, The Museum of Ventura County, and the Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. His work is in the collections of the ICA Miami and the Hessel Museum of Art, Bard College. Zúñiga was awarded the Rema Hort Mann Emerging Artist Grant and the Rema Hort Mann Emerging Community Grant in 2018.
