East Side Garden Walk: Plein-Air Artmaking
Sunday, July 20, 2025
10 am - 4 pm EDT

For a second year, the Buffalo AKG Art Museum’s Public Art Initiative will sponsor plein-air artmaking by six local artists during the East Side Garden Walk. The East Side Garden Walk, which began in 2018, encourages visitors and neighbors to walk, drive, or bike Buffalo’s East Side, learning about the creativity of this community.
Visit six Buffalo-based artists as they engage in plein-air artmaking on Saturday, July 19, and Sunday, July 20, from 10 am to 4 pm. Artists XIII, Bianca McGraw, Maddie Bartley, Joel Mulindwa, Jen Ryan, and Emeka Wajed will produce original works during their two-day residencies.
Look for them in three gardens:
821 Humboldt Parkway
65–85 Bogardus Street
1955 Genesee Street
