About the Artists
Vibrant Stringz is a violin trio that consists of three siblings; Johnny, Jaliyah, and Rahim. The trio was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. All of them are in their twenties, varying in their ages. The trio has been playing the violin since elementary school, through college and private lessons for over 20 years. The group enjoys playing together. Occasionally, they also perform as a duo or solo. They are classically trained; however, the group plays all genres of music such as classical, R&B, pop, hip-hop, jazz, gospel, rock, holiday music, national anthems, etc.
The band has played at a number of notable events, including alongside the Grammy Award-winning Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gateway Music Festival in Rochester, NY, Salvatore’s Chandelier Bar, various elected officials' events and inauguration ceremonies, the Pine Grill, Juneteenth Festivals, Roswell Park Comprehensive Care events, the Khaledias Children’s Hospital Benefit (Party on Pearl), Patrick’s Rooftop, the Lewiston Jazz Festival, and at various restaurants, galas, and weddings.
The Vibrant Stringz trio has had the opportunity to open up for several big names in the music industry, including Kenny G. at Kleinheins Music Hall, The Dance Theatre of Harlem at Sheas Performing Art Center, and national recording artists After 7, The Whispers, Llyod, and Johnny Gill. They have been interviewed and featured on WKBW Ch. 7 news, AM Buffalo, and WBLK 93.7 radio station, and have had articles written about them in various publications such as The Buffalo News, The Rochester NY Newspaper, Buffalo Challenger, The Criterion, and Profile Magazine based out of New York City. The trio has performed in both the United States and Canada, and they offer virtual violin lessons. Their music is available on all major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube. The siblings enjoy playing together and sharing their talents through their performances.
