On July 19, 1970, the Albright-Knox hosted a party for children in the children’s exhibition Mirrors, Motors and Motion.
The summer of 1970 started off with a bang, literally! On July 19 between 3 and 6 pm, over 1,000 people of all ages flocked to the preview of Mirrors, Motors and Motion. The exhibition for children was made possible by members of Albright-Knox's Education Department, Junior Group of the Member's Advisory Council, and the Junior League of Buffalo, Inc.
Between July 19 and August 30, 1970, 58,077 people enjoyed the activity and varied experiences of this unique exhibition. Thanks to the assiduous efforts of the visitors, lights blinked, things spun around, danced, and even emitted unearthly noises.
