In this lesson, students will explore how identity can be an inspiration for art making using works of art by Latinx artists that were featured in the special exhibition, Let Us Gather In a Flourishing Way. After art analysis, and class discussions, students will create art that reflects their own personal identity and cultural connections using a wide variety of materials. At the end of the lessons, students are encouraged to share what aspects of their personal identity are shown within their artwork.
