About the Speaker
Known professionally as Carolinah Blu, Robert Herrod, Jr., the son of Susan and Robert Herrod, is an American record producer, beat maker, songwriter, and mix engineer, who has been producing and ghost-producing music for over seventeen years. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and a graduate of Emerson High School, Blu was always into sound, starting from fixing radios and broken electronics. A close friend exposed him to a music sampling keyboard, and it was not long until he was producing for Benny the Butcher, Conway, Lloyd Banks of GUNIT, Ill Al Skratch, Dan Marsh, L-Biz, King Kahali, Carl Roe, Zaydok, Amber Simone, Quadir Lateef, Miles B, Mean Doe Green, Mace, Orion, Son Of Tony, and many others. Blu has scored films and documentaries and is one half of the production team BANGERHOUSE.
Listen to Blu's production on "Time" by A.I. The Anomaly, also known as Aitina Fareed-Cooke, In These Truth's very own co-curator.
