Join exhibition artist (and former DJ) Ali Banisadr and Bill Brandel from The Vintage Audio Shop as they spin a curated collection of vintage vinyl that draws on elements of the artist’s process!
Ali Banisadr is deeply influenced by all types of media ranging from books to films to music. As a synesthete, his paintings reflect more than color and light, often carrying their own sounds and vibrations. Explore the vintage sounds and textures that only vinyl provides.
Bill Brandel has been invested in vintage stereo equipment since 2014. Constantly on the hunt for the next collection of gear for restoration. The roots of his love for stereo equipment trace back to his Navy days stationed in South Georgia. With plenty of downtime on his hands, he spent years researching classic audio brands and models from decades past. Upon returning to Buffalo, he studied history at D’Youville University, where he stumbled into the vintage audio shop one day and eventually took it over. Today he reaches millions of people globally sharing the shops journey and his passion for quality sound.
