Rodney Taylor had a profound talent for harnessing intense and extraordinary emotion as he produced a seemingly infinite array of marks in multilayered compositions. His passing in December 2019 leaves our entire region with his unparalleled legacy of painting but also aching from his absence. His work is currently on view in an exhibition that focuses on the ways we make connections to our homes, our neighbors, and our communities. This is an opportunity to come together to celebrate Rodney’s endless creative capacity. Please join his wife, Annette Daniels Taylor, and their children, Mingus, Bleu-Ruby, Haven, and Winter Sky, to dance to Rodney’s favorite music presented by his nephew Jason Redding, aka DJ Reazon, and close family friend DJ Mia Phillips throughout the evening.
