Nya:wëh for joining us for this special Cultural Takeover Event and for supporting Gaëni:yo’s NPO Inc. and the Buffalo AKG Art Museum.

Together, we celebrate culture, community, education, music, dance, storytelling, and the continued preservation and representation of Haudenosaunee traditions.

Experience the following activities:

3–3:30 pm: Social singing 
3:45–4:15 pm: Traditional Haudenosaunee Dance Demonstration by Gaëni:yo’s Singers & Dancers
4:30–5 pm: Cultural Storytelling by Perry Ground 
5:15–5:45 pm: Traditional Haudenosaunee Dance Demonstration by Gaëni:yo’s Singers & Dancers
5:45—6:30 pm: Cultural Storytelling by Perry Ground 
6:30–8 pm: Community Social

Gaëni:yo’s NPO Inc. is a Native American Cultural Outreach Organization from the Seneca Nation’s Cattaraugus Territory, specializing in traditional Song, Dance, Integrated Media, and Cultural Apparel. As a 509(a)(2) nonprofit organization under the 501(c)(3) umbrella, we are committed to Cultural Identity, Presentation, Representation, Awareness, and Preservation. Gaëni:yo’s Singers & Dancers travel throughout the region sharing authentic Haudenosaunee cultural experiences through dance demonstrations, cultural workshops, show-and-tell presentations, singing classes, and educational programs. Our goal is to preserve and promote traditional ways while creating meaningful connections between communities and generations. Gaëni:yo’s means “Good Songs” and is pronounced “GUY KNEE YOS.”
