Join us for a conversation with Albright-Knox Curator Heather Pesanti and the New York–based artist Barnaby Furnas. They will discuss the Albright-Knox’s recent acquisition of Furnas’s Flood, 2007, as well as the artist’s connections to Expressionism and abstraction, the performative nature of his work, and his interest in epic themes and non-traditional materials.

Barnaby Furnas’s Flood is on view in the special exhibition Surveyor, February 18–June 5, 2011.

On the First Friday of every month—from 10 am to 10 pm—admission to the museum's collection, and to most events and performances, is free for everyone.
