2019 Future Curators

The 2019 Future Curators team consisted of 20 students in grades 11 and 12:

From January to May 2019, this creative team of young aspiring art professionals learned what goes on behind the scenes at the Albright-Knox and used the museum's collection and special exhibitions to think about art from the mindset of a curator.

The 2019 Future Curators' exhibition of artwork by local high school students—Somewhere Behind, Somewhere Ahead—was on view at the Albright-Knox from Friday, April 12, through Sunday, May 12, 2019, with an exhibition opening celebration planned by the team on Thursday, April 11, from 5 to 8 pm. It was also on view at the Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT) from Friday, April 12, through Sunday, May 5, 2019, with an exhibition celebration on Thursday, April 18, from 4:30 to 6 pm.
