Great Lawn

Get ready for an unforgettable winter experience at the Buffalo AKG during Erie County Free(ze) Week! Through an exciting ongoing partnership, Kissing Bridge All Seasons Resort is transforming the AKG Great Lawn into a snowy wonderland using their expert snowmaking capabilities!

Watch WNY-based sculptor Eric Jones of Eric Jones Studios bring art to life as he and his team carve four stunning snow sculptures inspired by masterpieces from the AKG collection—live before your eyes. Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun with hands-on opportunities to sculpt pre-packed snow alongside the artist.

A regional favorite, Jones is celebrated for his iconic Buffalo Bills–themed snow sculptures, his 2022 victory on the Food Network’s Outrageous Pumpkins, and his 2024 Guinness World Records title for carving the world’s largest jack-o’-lantern.

Thanks to Kissing Bridge’s snowmakers running a week in advance, there will be no shortage of snow, plus a rare chance to see and snap photos with a historic 1960s Tucker Snowcat—perfect for kids and families.

Only on Saturday, February 21, warm up at the AKG Snow Bar with coffee, hot cocoa, cider, and adult beverages available for purchase, enjoy a live outdoor DJ from 3 to 6 pm, and grab a classic chicken dinner from Chiavetta’s Barbecue.
