In conjunction with the Fall 2003 Museum Studies class at Canisius College, the Albright-Knox exhibited a selection of works on paper from the museum’s collection. An Optical Experience: Works on Paper from the Permanent Collection offered students new and exciting opportunities as they researched and organized the exhibition under the supervision of their professor, the museum’s Curatorial Assistant Holly E. Hughes.

Students were responsible for all aspects of the exhibition from beginning to end, including the preliminary research, the selection of artwork, the installation of the work, and the writing of exhibition materials. The exhibition also offered students an excellent hands-on experience and the chance to utilize the many resources at the museum.

This exhibition was organized by Curatorial Assistant Holly E. Hughes.
