This presentation will focus on the artist Kota Ezawa, who recontextualizes images from art history and popular culture in animated videos, slide projections, light boxes, collages, and works on paper. Focusing on Ezawa's six works in the Albright-Knox's collection, including City of Nature, 2011, and UFO, 2011, we'll discuss the artist's wide-ranging practice and how it can inspire lesson plan development and artmaking.
