Join the Western New York Book Arts Center and Just Buffalo Literary Center for a three-hour artmaking extravaganza activating all three floors of 468 Washington Street. Participants of all ages are invited to create artworks to take home, as well as works that will be incorporated into the upcoming exhibition Hervé Tullet: Shape and Color.

In the first-floor gallery and lower level studio, Book Arts teaching artists will assist participants in making screen prints with Tullet’s designs, overprinting shapes and colors for unique, whimsical creations. Upstairs, Just Buffalo will lead an activity based on word prompts, during which participants will create their own Tullet-inspired phrase to be incorporated into their artwork.

Artmaking activities will involve paint; please wear appropriate clothing.
